Official photographer of the Hotmilk Break Battle 2026, a breakdance competition organized by the Hotmilk Breakers (HTMLK). This edition marks the crew's 30th anniversary, with hip-hop dancers invited from all over the world.
On Friday, March 20th, the day before the competition, a pre-party opens the Hotmilk Break Battle 2026. Several international dancers are already there, for many of them it's their first time in Cholet.
Among them, @connorblc, who arrived a few days earlier, had just finished a mural in the dance room of Weiv Studio, the crew's new headquarters. "Weiv" is pronounced "Wave" and is the verlan (French slang inversion) of "View": both the dance and a look toward the future.
That evening, it wasn't just dancing. DJ set, crew merch, signings from a fellow breaker's latest book, a pop-up barbershop, food and drinks: here are the photos from that night and the first shots of the event.

Saturday, March 21st, day of the 2VS2, qualifiers then top 8 battles. Nearly 40 duos competed from 2pm to 9pm, in front of over 300 people. Warm lighting echoing the design of the HTMLK 30th anniversary poster, and music handled by DJ Plash, coming all the way from Poland. That evening, everyone headed back to Weiv for the after party, where all the breakers in town could reconnect.
Photos shot with analog lenses.
Sunday, March 22nd, the last day of the Hotmilk Break Battle, with the Crew versus Crew format: French crews facing each other, alongside crews formed for the occasion from dancers across multiple continents. With battles lasting 7 to 12 minutes, all 10 dancers took turns to bring victory to their team. The international crew came out on top, with dancers from France, Copenhagen, Chicago, Miami and Newcastle.
That evening, the last after party took place, where the 4 graffiti artists Connorblc, ArthurMGZ, Born and NELZ created one final piece together before heading home.
